I've eaten several times at Max's Oyster Bar. Primarily, for special occasions. The food never disappoints. This is the first time I've had brunch there. Tried the soup on special. Lobster bisque. A rather large bowl was served of this lovely concoction. It was flavorful, rich and very filling!! Couldn't finish it all! Had the eggs benedict, which is a favorite of mine. Very good!! All in all, no complaints. Oh! The bloody Mary was Large and also, very good. Can't go wrong eating at Max's!! Worth every penny!

The food and service were excellent. The only problem was, I had to ask the server their name. I like to address the server by name instead of saying hey, or waving to them.

Over the top wonderful on all levels: first an opportunity to congratulate Megan on becoming a partner of the Max group! What a wonderful addition; a kinder, more embracing and welcoming representative to Trumbull Kitchen! Not to mention smart and pretty! Saw Chef Chris and of course Johnny as our server — shrimp corn fritters were excellent and the new grain salad with chicken was excellent with just the right amount of dressing. Trumbull Kitchen never disappoints and this time was extra special!

Manager Michele was the best and food was perfect.

Usually reliable for a tasty and luxe business lunch, today the Capital Grille was off its game.
