The krō bär is an eclectic bar with a speakeasy vibe and a passion for spirits and great food with a nod to another era. Tucked away on Main Street in Bothell, a walkable neighborhood teaming with local art, culture and food, the artfully handcrafted krō bär has been reclaimed from the bones of Bothell’s historic hardware store in the Mohn building. The 16-foot-high tin ceilings, a hanging catwalk and the original wood floors were uncovered and restored.     Truly lovely dining experience with friends. We have always had good food here, but the service has been spotty. This time the service was exceptional and consistent with he quality of the food and ambience of this historic venue. Our server’s suggestion of the specialty pork belly dish to share was a hit with everyone at the table. Her service was quick and well timed. She had a good sense of when to let us enjoy our drinks and appetizers and when to appear to take our order. We all enjoyed the sablefish which was wonderfully done in a unique presentation with cabbage. The room is a little noisy. The grounds and hotel are festively decorated for the holiday making it a nice place to celebrate the season with friends.

    Very tasty food and friendly staff! Not a lot of choices on the menu but the food was flavorful. Much noisier this time than than I remembered from a couple years ago. Lots of families with small children. It was a happy atmosphere.
