Restaurants near Victor Park

Went to Joey’s for Valentine’s Day weekend and it was an overall pleasurable experience. Our food was delicious! We ordered the Joey Classic Steak and both of our steaks were cooked perfectly! Not only that, but they were served fast which was amazing given that it was a Saturday night. I only had two complaints. First, I’m not sure if the champagne up front is complimentary. I’ve seen some reviews saying that it is. Regardless, we were not offered any. Second, (this isn’t for the restaurant staff) I’m not sure why some parents think that Joey is an appropriate place to take their kids. Some kids were well behaved, but others were jumping all over the booth and getting their hand prints on the divider glass. It’s not an enjoyable experience watching a child almost topple over the customers in the booth behind us. Not every restaurant is meant for children, specifically toddlers, and I feel like Joey is one of them.

I had reservations for my wife’s birthday. I thought the wait was longer than I preferred but the manager explained the process and why I had to wait a little, which helped a lot and I appreciated. Food was good but my server, (Ximena???) was stellar. She was very attentive to our refills and I requested my check so I think she assumed we had somewhere else to be (and she was correct). I saw her making a point to get our check despite it being busy. I deeply appreciated how much she helped. I hope I’m saying her name correctly because she helped make my wife’s bday an awesome experience. The chef was bomb too- we had Jesse.

You can always count on great food and great service at Bettolino. Even on Valentine’s Day! You would think that you would be rushed out of there like cattle however we had time to enjoy a drink and our dinner and had a very nice evening. We were worried about sitting on the patio because of the chilly evening, but their outdoor heaters worked very really well keeping us cozy. 

Staff was courteous and friendly. We seated right away.. The restaurant was a bit loud hard to hear our own conversations, but overall a great experience with good food.

Food was delicios ambiance was perfect. Will definitely be back
