One of the oldest family-run businesses in the nation, now run by the fourth generation, Pete Berghoff. Today's Berghoff menus have evolved to add newer, lighter, and more contemporary dishes, but it's still the same old Berghoff, down to the famous root beer.     After seeing the movie Wicked, I wanted to treat my granddaughter from college & her friend, as well as my 13 year old granddaughter & my son to dinner. Love visiting downtown restaurants & found Grill 21 on the Open Table app. Decided to book a reservation after the movie. Arrived about 15 minutes earlier than reservation time, but was seated immediately. The 5 of us were seated in a nice booth. Our server April was exceptionally courteous & respectful. The food was brought out in a timely manner & we all enjoyed our meal with no complaints. First time there, will definitely visit again. Thank you!

    We dined with family and friends for Thanksgiving dinner at Roanoke. We could not have been happier. The set menu still allowed diners to individually select drinks, appetizers, sides, the main dish (turkey and trimmings, salmon, steak), and dessert. Everything was delicious and well-seasoned. The wait staff was attentive. It was a packed house (because who cooks anymore?). We even ordered an extra plate to go (because leftovers are a must!). If Roanoke offers Thanksgiving dinner again, we will book it again!
