Our bakery and cafe serves La Colombe Coffee alongside an array of pastries and sandwiches crafted by Chef Leigh Omilinksy.Dinner reservations are available Tuesday - Sunday; we are closed for dinner service on Mondays. Akahoshi Ramen is a humble ramen shop in the city of Chicago. Everything is made in the restaurant, including all soups, seasonings, toppings, and noodles. We are not an authentic ramen shop, though we value the history of ramen, and our ramen is influenced by its past and its future potential. The dish, popularized in Japan after World War 2, is symbolic of both struggle and perseverance. It is both a simple dish, and a fantastically complex one that we treat with reverence and respect. Roughly translating to “Red Star,” the name “Akahoshi” is a love letter to two cities; Sapporo, Hokkaido, where red stars adorn city monuments, and Chicago, Illinois, where the red star decorates the city flag.     The food was excellent and the service amazing! My friend and I split the quinoa pancakes and the traditional breakfast so we had both sweet and savory. My friend is gluten free and dairy free but I am not so our server was so thoughtful and made up 2 plates of the traditional breakfast so that I could have the sourdough toast with butter and the cheddar dusted potatoes and my friend could have her gluten free toast and potatoes without the cheddar dust. ❤️ It all was very delicious!! Would highly recommend their brunch and we want to go back for dinner sometime soon as well!

    Amazing! Chef Rick’s mussels in green curry are the best we’ve ever had. The noodles with chicken is always indescribably delicious. My family has been ordering take out from Bento Box for years (once you’ve had this meal you’ll understand the cravings for it) so to be able to enjoy it in such a cool space and see Chef Rick perform his magic was a real treat. Book yourself a table to enjoy the full experience - or at the very least, order take out.
