We had an excellent experience. Observation, on 12/31 is almost impossible to arrive to the restaurant after 6pm due to NYE fireworks ( road closures)

Wonderful restaurant, location and ambience. The food quality, flavour & presentation were all superb, hosted by lovely staff throughout. Fairly priced for centre of London. Only slight improvement-the toilets could do with more regular checks, but this may have been an oversight as it was busy.

It was probably the best meal that we have ever had. The waitress and sommelier were very knowledgeable and helpful. The Savoy is a beautiful and elegant place and we would love to stay there!

Staff exceptional, ambience ditto. BUT, for set menu Xmas lunch, the goose was mighty disappointing. Taste: ok just. Consistency: shoe leather; tough to chew & hard to cut with knives provided. I fear Mr G Ramsay would use stronger language than I dare type to damn it. The alternative John Dory was really good. What a pity the goose was nothing like same quality/standard as fish. Clearly staff recognised the problem & offered exchange to fish pdq- no quibbles
