- LLizVIPPhiladelphia County •2 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWhat an unexpected and pleasant surprise this restaurant was, nestled within the old Eagle Tavern. The ambience and decor really aligned with the broader theme of a southern farm to table kitchen. The cocktails were spectacular, especially if you like whiskey, because they have an incredible selection. The sweet potato hush puppies were perfectly fried, and the honey and sauce were delicious. We ordered the short rib and salmon, and the chef was able to make adjustments to the vegetables to address an allergy issue. Both plates were licked completely clean because everything was absolutely delicious. We also got the skillet cornbread and while it was two cut slices on a skillet and not an actual skillet, the flavor was delicious. The only adjustment I would suggest there is the butter was chilled, which made it hard to spread. I wasn’t as excited about the dessert selection but honestly, I didn’t need dessert because the meal was just spectacular. Special shout out to our server, Maddie, who was perfectly attentive without being ever present.More infoBloom Southern KitchenPrice: Moderate• Southern• Chester Springs•4.6
- CCherylPhiladelphia County •2 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoFriends and I went to the Pajama Brunch on New Years Day at the White Dog Cafe in Chester Springs. This is the first that I have been to this new White Dog. It is wonderful. It has tons of character and many small rooms. They have retained the country charm of the old home. The food is always excellent. My two friends had the specials, which were yummy. The waffles with fruit compote and syrup with a taste of coffee were delicious. I recommend White Dog for a terrific dining experience.More infoWhite Dog Cafe - Chester SpringsPrice: Moderate• American• Exton•4.7
- KKatharineCharlotte •12 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoSuperb Chester County drinks and dining! Always an amazing time at this hidden gem. The jalapeño gin-o-rita was so good! The drinks are 10/10 and the burger was delicious! Cute, quaint atmosphere. Cheryl and her staff go out of their way to make you feel at home here. There was even a live band on Saturday night. Such a great place- can’t wait to go back!More infoBotanery Barn Distillery & RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Farm-to-table• Reading•4.6
- KKiynaPhiladelphia County •1 review5.0Dined on Dec 26, 2024Incredible. The appetizer, the entrees and the desserts were flawless. The brussels sprouts were my favorite part of the short rib meal. Overall we loved the pork slider appetizer.More infoOsteria AvantiPrice: Expensive• Italian• Leola•4.8
- PPatrickPhiladelphia County •1 review5.0Dined on Dec 18, 2024After a few years not dining at The Log Cabin, we returned for our 48th anniversary. The booth room was where we last celebrated so we returned there. There are 3 booths and two tables - all were occupied by couples celebrating their anniversaries. My wife had Pasta Primavira, I had the Salmon Oscar. Both were outstanding. Being non- drinkers I can not comment regarding the libations and the server was excellent as we're all the staff, efficient and friendly. As we finished with coffee, a local roast, Whiff coffee roaster which was very good, the owner of the restaurant made his way around the dining rooms and spoke with each couple. Not just in passing but had actual conversations at each stop, ending with an invitation to explore the facility and look around. Very impressive. The prices are not for the faint hearted but in keeping with a fine dining experience. The decor has been redone and refreshed from the last time we were here; it seems brighter and yet intimate at the same time. We will renew our anniversary tradition at the Log Cabin going forward and more than likely bring family and friends for those special dinner celebrations ahead.More infoThe Log CabinPrice: Very Expensive• American• Leola•4.8
