LaSalle Grill, a modern American Bistro featuring steaks and chops cooked over a live hardwood fire, is born of the dream of experienced restaurateur Mark McDonnell. Like the restaurant’s namesake, noted French explorer, Robert de LaSalle, McDonnell set out to explore the uncharted waters of downtown South Bend, Indiana. In April of 1991, McDonnell opened a lively and exciting restaurant unlike any other in the area.

LaSalle Grill is committed to providing guests with excellent service, great atmosphere, an award-winning wine list and, most importantly, delicious cuisine that is artfully and dramatically presented.

The Grill has been presented with the coveted AAA Four Diamond Award every year since 1996.

LaSalle Catering is the off-premise catering arm of LaSalle Grill. LaSalle Catering specializes in all sizes of catered events in a 60 mile radius of South Bend, Indiana. We are particularly adept in executing difficult events in unusual locations. As founder Mark McDonnell likes to say, "difficult is not impossible". It's the little details that count. They make the difference between "a nice event" and "a great party!" At LaSalle Catering & Events we pay attention to all of the little details of your event ... the preparations, presentations and above all the service.

LaSalle Grill offers 2 private dining rooms. The larger accommodates from 15 to 80 guests. The smaller accommodates up to 22 guests. Both are located on the 2nd floor.

The salmon risotto was perfect; just the right amount of creamy. Steaks were excellent. If you're doing dessert, the bread putting was very good. 10/10 for service.

Food was amazing as usual, and the service is impeccable! Miranda went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and to make the evening special. We celebrated my mother's 72nd birthday and multiple other staff came up to wish her a happy birthday and go out of their way to make the experience unforgettable!

Friendly service, excellent food. Ordered their special 3 course meal. Had a concert to attend and staff made sure they were prompt with our meals. Will go back again!

We love LaSalle Bar upstairs and down. This was our 4th visit and it won’t be our last. We are visiting SB from outside Chicago. This is a beautiful classic restaurant love the staff and mural. My husband had the pork chop and said it was tasty but the toughest pork chop he ever had. My sword fish was delicious!

We ate at the bar, celebrating out son’s 21st birthday. The bartender was incredible and made it a very special occasion. The food, as always, was spectacular.
