We really wanted to enjoy this holiday experience. We went to see the gingerbread house and wanted to have a nice holiday high tea. The ambiance inside the room was nothing special, the noise level was high. The service was mediocre. The scones(dry), tea sandwiches(unremarkable) and desserts (mass produced) were all mediocre. For the price, we expected to be wowed...and definitely were not. My teenage daughters asked to go to Lovejoys instead next time.

Holiday tea was very poor value for price charged. Understaffing resulted in long waits. The few staff were very good but unable to keep up with customers needs. Food was very uneven quality… a few excellent but others mediocre. Chandon champagne was excellent. Unfortunately would not do this again.

For Thanksgiving, the buffet was average food for an exorbitant price. Great service, though!

Ambiance and the food were incredible, as per what I’d expect from the Fairmont. Absolutely loved the Christmas decorations, and the band playing in the background. The Thanksgiving dinner was some of the best that I’ve had. The service was good at all of the stations, except for the server at our table. Took long periods of time to get our beverages and clearing the table. Overall a good experience.

Came here for a special girls day out. For about $200 (includes half a glass of champaign), we got 3 small sandwiches and 4 little desserts. They were all average Egg sandwich The mozzarella with tomatoes And the mushroom was not that good. The peppermint cheesecake Raspberry mousse Pecan tarte Rosemary/cranberry shortbread was not good. Felt like 8 was eating a pine tree. No refills on food. No one went over the teas. We were told to look at the timer and pour our own. Hot water refill at the end as we were getting our bill. The food was lacking taste and didn’t have that extra special touch to it. Service of mediocre for a luxury hotel. The value for this special holiday tea experience was sub par. Would not come back and would not recommend.

The idea of it is beautiful but very poorly executed. The food is unrefined. The service is both rushed and inefficient. Scones arrived before the tea. There was then a very long break before we received the sandwich and pastry tower. If this had been a $35/person experience I would have been fine with the price but still probably wouldn’t do it again because the food is substandard. But at $150/person for adults and $80/child - totally unacceptable. Two of the sandwiches on the kids menu were Nutella-Strawberry and Peanut Butter-Marshmallow. Yuck. Ended up ordering an adult tea for my two kids to share. Even they barely touched the sweets because they didn’t even look appetizing. Very disappointing.
