We did the Holiday Tea to be festive. We love a high tea but this one was super overpriced for what we got. A pot of tea, four small sandwiches and four small treats and one glass of champagne for $150 + 20% tip. This should have been $80 tops. Very festive ambiance and good service just way overpriced.

Afternoon tea was so underwhelming. The descriptions on the menu sounded fancy but the tea sandwiches and desserts were worse than Costco quality - certainly not worth the price we paid per person. On top of that, we barely saw our server the entire time and had to flag a random waitress down after 20 minutes to ask for tea. For a mandatory 20% gratuity this was atrocious service.

Went for their holiday tea. Way over priced and terrible, rushed service. Have done many fancy teas elsewhere and this was the poorest one by a wide margin. Could be a great experience as the room is special. They just needed to train the staff to give good service and improve the food a bit.

Wanted so much to love this . Heard good things from people I trust who had visited in the past . However, food minuscule and average . Tea nothing close to special. But the biggest complaint is that it was incredibly overpriced. Kind staff , but overworked and too busy with other customers to make us feel like the 800$ price tag for a party of four (one a child) was even remotely worth it . Even if it cost 200$ I would’ve felt cheated. The elf magician , the piano player, and the ambiance were the highlights . Went home and ate frozen pizzas from Cosco.

Sad to say that afternoon tea is not worth it. Despite the beautiful holiday decorations and overall beauty of the historic hotel; the food and even brand of champagne was disappointing. The only thing that tasted good was the actual tea. Lack of quality ingredients, cheap cookies, and sandwiches were, well….disgusting.

Overall the food was okay but for a $200 per person menu they should make sure everything in the menu are sent to the table- we had to ask for the missing biscuits and scones after we finished all other food before they realized oh yes they were never sent.

The quality of the food buffet and the overall experience were a let down. It is not the same as it was in years goneby. The selections were of poor quailty. The buffet spoke of 'saving money'. For the price it was terrible. In all likelihood we will not spend this kind of money for such a disappointing buffet.

We dine on Christmas every year. Our table was nice. The service was adequate. We had to request refills of coffee and champagne . The food was was ordinary .Since Covid seems like the cost increased but not the quality of food. We go for the atmosphere . The service and food was sufficient but not what I expect for the price. I understand it must be a bummer to work on Christmas. We are very grateful to those who work and make the experience enjoyable. I love the vibe of the fairmont. I’d return next year hoping for a better experience.
