One of Chicago’s finest dining experiences awaits you in this elegant town home setting that balances formality and friendliness. Your dinner may be paired with fine wines, as uncommon ingredients come together in perfect harmony. In operation since 1978, Les Nomades remains true to its distinctive character as an oasis of civilized tranquility amidst the bustling activity of its Streeterville location. Culinary creations delight the most discriminating palates. Savor Sautéed Foie Gras, or Lobster Ravioli with seared scallops; Roasted Breast and Confit Leg of Duck, or Duo of Roasted Partridge and Bison. Artisan cheeses are extraordinary and the pastries are sublime.
Please keep in mind that proper attire is required including a jacket for gentlemen.

Visiting Chicago after having moved away and visited after many years. It was good, but honestly the menu items did not really appeal. Caviar surprise was really a cold cooked salmon with a potato cream, lobster in the salad was mushy, roast duck was okay. Cheese was pretty perfunctory. The premier cru burgundy we selected was oddly tannic and did not open in the glass. Atmosphere was a little tired. Still very nice with excellent service, except inexplicably they forgot the bread after looking at our table ten times. Anyway….

Service was exceptional! The wine buyer is also the bar tender-great advice and service! The waiters were very attentive but not too much. The atmosphere is so nice and quiet with classical music playing in background-refreshing! They gave us a special dessert for our anniversary! The food was spectacular butI did have grit in my scallop. The decor is getting quite tired. Time for a refresher.

The bread basket was divine, right out of the oven. The service, the quality and preparation of the food were impeccable. It’s a place we will visit for the rest of our lives. Chicago has no idea what it has been missing.

Lovely restaurant and exquisite food. It’s one of our favorite “special occasion” restaurants in Chicago and it never disappoints. Not trendy, just wonderful French cuisine with traditional formality that is difficult to find these days. I would go for the dessert soufflés alone, but the menu overall is excellent!

Excellent classical French dining. Fabulous food in an elegant, old school, beautiful space where you can carry on a conversation. The Best place in Chicago to get a stellar dessert soufflé!

Classic in every way, impeccable service, excellent quality food, excellent souffles. Traditional French preparation, presentation and service, but friendly and not pompous. Great for special celebrations.

From amuse bouche to bonbons, superlatives barely scrape the surface of the fare and experience served up by well-trained, genial staff. If saffron is your go-to, the swordfish entré would be a good choice; for carnivores, the short-ribs are succulent and ‘knives unnecessary’ bites. Soufflés are masterfully crafted, subtly flavored, and good to the last spoonful. The crackling fireplace in the Salon de Thé provided a warm welcome on the cold solstice. Altogether a pleasurable experience.
