Why doesn't everyone know about this place? The food is excellent. From perfectly prepared appetizers to the finest steaks. Definitely on par or better than the known steak houses. Prices are slightly better also but don't expect to get away with a bargain. You get what you pay for and then some. Ribeye was perfectly seasoned and cooked as well as the Filet. The sea bass dish was so so good also. Mushrooms, creamed spinach, chefs special vegetable Brussel sprouts and fresh fries were all devoured by the table. The sea Bass came on a bed of mashed which was also perfect. Appetizers of fried calamari, wedge salad and baked clams didn't survive long on the table. The service was also polite, professional and done with smiles. This is only the second time I've eaten here but both times left me happy and full. Ask me what the best steak houses in Manhattan are and this one is up near the top.

My wife and I both had the escargot for our appetizer . They are delicious and we recommend that you also use the fresh bread to enjoy the butter and garlic they are cooked in. My wife had the Steak Frites and I had the Sautéed Hake special . Both dishes were delicious !!! We are repeat guests of Sophie’s Bistro and have had special family dinners here . We highly recommend Sophie’s Bistro for their regular menu and specials. The food , service and atmosphere as well as the mixology are fantastic. We highly recommend this fine French restaurant to one and all .

The Cottage remains one of our favorite restaurants in Fairfield County. The nomination for a James Beard award is well deserved. I sincerely hope they get recognized in this fashion. There were four of us and we sampled a wide selection from the menu collectively. Every dish was mouth watering.

618 is one of our favorite restaurants in the Freehold area. We try to dine here once a month. The food is delicious, the bar makes some creative cocktails, and the service is always good. Our waitress, Lucy, was very friendly and attentive. We shared the crab cake appetizer. Two crab cakes with lots of crab meat served over a mildly spicy remoulade sauce. My wife ordered the filet mignon, it's one of her favorite dishes. It's tender, flavorful, and always prepared at the right temperature. I tried the Scallop and Lobster Paella Rissotto. It was very tasty. Plenty of lobster meat and 4 large scallops over a risotto flavored with chorizo. Looking forward to our next visit.
