   We are very pleased with our dining experience at Livingston. The service was very good and the staff was friendly and attentive. I heard no complaints from our party of 13. We were able to make our show on time.

   After not going in a few years, we were very disappointed in the experience from somewhere we once loved for pre-show dinners. It started with the staff meeting happening in the dining room after the doors were opened. Our server Sam was good, but clearly by the end of the meal harried. Our appetizers were very good , but we both had crab cakes for the entree which were extremely flavorless. The hash with the crab cakes did not taste as if made from fresh vegetables. With the open kitchen, we witnessed plates going from the heating lamp counters to a prep space where food sat until servers picked up the plates and servers coming back with used dishes intermingling with fresh dishes. Overall, just not a good experience, especially since I'd talked so glowingly of my past experiences.

   We ate at Livingston prior to a show at the Fox. Our reservation was at 5:00 which is their opening time. We were seated promptly, ordered and received our food in record time. The staff is prepared to handle patrons moving on to a show.

   I was concerned when reading other reviews, but was blown away by the service, food, and whole dining experience. We made reservations for a group of seven at 6:45 for an 8pm show at the Fox. We arrived at 6:30 and our table was ready and we were promptly seated, attentive server who was helpful with dinner options for kids, front of house also helpful and attending to customers. The smells were amazing and every single dish was delicious. We all ordered different dishes, but the highlight was the brussels sprouts. Our server let us know that it was a shareable-sized side dish, and every person tried them and then got more! The tempo of the meal was well-paced. We were not rushed (often happens if you show up with children for a nice dinner) and also had time to enjoy our food before our show. We will definitely be returning. Excellent restaurant, excellent food, excellent staff!

   Unimpressed. Food was average and service was the bare minimum. Menu was limited and not much personal attention by staff. For the price, disappointed

   Service was slow. Employees did not seem very happy to be at work. Food was pricey. No child menu. Food was ok. Crab soup and cornbread was great. Ordered Mac and cheese no lobster (suggested by waitress ) it came out with lobster. Beware if you have seafood allergy. Overall not impressed.

   Giving a one rating because despite having a reservation, I waited 15 min to get seated and once seated after about 10 min was told they are too busy to take my drink or food order. By then, there wasn’t enough time for me to pivot and find dinner before the show so I had to have popcorn at the theater. Everyone’s food who was being served did look good, but I can’t properly rate it. The ambiance was chaotic. Keep that in mind if you are booking before joining the Fox theater and book at least 2 hours before showtime.

    Overall the experience was good, although I do feel the staff was very disorganized and unaware of open table reservations. For the future it would make better sense to have foresight for New Year’s Eve
