   L’Opossum is an absolute gem—one of those places that surprises you in the best way possible. From the outside, you’d never guess what awaits behind that entrance curtain, but once you step through, it’s like walking into a world of playful, elegant, cheeky charm. We came here to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, and it was a night to remember. The food was exceptional—beautifully presented and literally bursting with flavor. Every dish was perfectly crafted, and the creativity spoke volumes about the pride and passion behind the menu. The staff was fantastic. There was nothing stuffy here. Our waiter struck that perfect balance of attentiveness without hovering, making the whole evening for our daughter feel special. The atmosphere is something else entirely. It’s daring, cozy, and welcoming. If you’re looking for a dining experience that’s fun, delicious, and just a little unexpected in a fun way, L’Opossum is where you need to be. It's our new Richmond favorite.

   L’Opossum was a delight overall. The quail and “swellington” were delicious and the drinks were very well made.

   The entire visit was unexpected, from the location, the ambience, the food, the playfulness of the menu, the retro holiday decor and the curated playlist. It was all delicious, friendly and unpretentious. It was a great way to celebrate a birthday. We can’t wait to return.

   This is an amazing dining experience. Everything we had was exceptional. We enjoyed 4 different apps and a 3 of us enjoyed the filet and 1 terrific swank plank ( lobster mac and cheese) Dessert was yummy! I flambé which stood in for our Birthday candle. If you haven’t been here you are missing out. Think ahead because reservations are typically out months.
