   The oysters Rockefeller was outstanding, as was the rest of our dinner. It's a beautifully restored post office originally built in the early 1900's . Eric was our server and he was top notch. Ask for Eric or Hal. Both were great.

   First time for my birthday (which is Valentine’s Day) and the food was delicious! Started with the salmon wonton nachos which were very messy and difficult to eat but so worth it. For entrees I got the Chilean sea bass, the fried rice on the plate was amazing, the carrots were cooked well, and the fish was beautifully cooked. Husband got the Mardi Gras fish which he enjoyed. We ordered hush puppies when our entrees arrived which were the best hush puppies I’ve ever had. Crème brûlée was pretty good with some of the sugar being a little too charred but I enjoyed it. The server was super nice and friendly but the amount we saw of him was the bare minimum. I thought he might just be over burdened by the amount of tables he had, which if contained to the “post office” room we were in ourselves that he was splitting with another man, would be 5 tables for each. However, that theory only made sense if he was there in the room, which he was not physically present for 90% of our hour+ experience. Maybe he was off running food or still working but his main job was making sure his tables needs were met in a timely manner and ours were not. We sat without water for over five minutes. For some reason we were the only table they did not give bread shortly after sitting and we had to ask for it after being there for twenty minutes. I also longed for a birthday candle in my dessert since I had seen pictures of desserts with candles in the google photos but alas, that did not happen. I also observed three manager men in suits move throughout the restaurant the entire time and interact with almost every table but us. As a partially neglected table of first timers including myself on my birthday it left us leaving disheartened.

   Loved the building, loved the food, loved our server, Eric. My only negative that it was too noisy for these old ears.

   The food was excellent. The service outstanding ( our server was Nick). It was Valentines Day, very busy. Nick was able to make us feel that we were important to him. The food was all cooked perfectly. Priced appropriately.

   My wife and I have been to thousands of very nice restaurants in our 55 years of marriage and today we had reservations at McAdoo's in New Braunfels, TX to celebrate our 55th wedding anniversary. We checked in 5 minutes prior to our reservation time. We were dressed VERY nicely because of this special day. The hostess was rude and acted as if we were interrupting her down time. She barely looked at us with NO greeting whatsoever. Since it was a very special occasion (55th anniversary) specifically on the Open Table reservation that I made 6 weeks in advance, we expected some communication to the affect since we've experienced that many times over the last 20 years-but nothing! We were seated at a table facing the front doors approximately 10 feet from the doors and it was cold today so every time someone entered we received another shot of wind and cold from outside. Our server was polite but did NOT acknowledge our special day which maybe she didn't know about so we gave her the benefit of the doubt. We ordered drinks and food which was very good (the only saving grace of the day). We told our server we were celebrating our 55th anniversary and she smiled and asked if we'd like dessert and we ordered one (usually complementary for special occasions) but NOT for us today. I want to add that I believe the floor manager (a man walking around in a sport coat)walked by our table twice without saying one word. Disappointed beyond belief, we paid our entire bill and left and will never go to this restaurant again and will not give any of our friends a recommendation to go to this restaurant either.

   McAdoo’s was good, as usual. Parking experience was horrific and we had to walk 15 minutes from the nearest parking spot to the restaurant. An area trolley for all the neighboring restaurants and bars with remote parking is desperately needed. The parking situation keeps us from coming as often as we would like. Food was well prepared and tasty, and service is always good. The restaurant was incredibly busy, and we did not see our waiter as frequently as usual, but it was lunch on Valentine’s Day.
