    I've been to Merlion several times and it never disappoints. The food is amazing no matter what you order. The service is fast and friendly. The room is lovely and quiet. Well done.

    The mini blue and white holiday lights really added to the festive Christmas ambiance for this visit. The crab bisque was absolutely wonderful. The mixed tempura was incredibly delicious. And the softshell crab was fresh and succulent. My Kang Ped with shrimp however, was a little under-seasoned and definitely needed some salt. It had plenty of pepper, but was a little flat on other spices. My Wife opted for the Pad Med Mammahuang with chicken, and loved it. Our wine selection was perfect, and the mixed Martini drinks were wonderful. Overall, it was a truly wonderful evening at one of our all-time favorite restaurants.

    Always love "The Mer." Very good Thai chef. It seems the staff has been there a long time too insofar as every time I go in the same team is working. That indicates a pretty good "culture" I think. The Mer has, hands down imho, the best Chef in the Kemah/Clear Lake area. There are good restaurants around, but the quality of their fish, for example, tends to carry the day versus the quality of the Chef. In this case, you can really tell the nuances to the meals, the delicate distinctions between the spice levels, etc. clearly causes me to say the MerLion has the best Chef. The bar tenders are pleasant, professional and artful insofar as they know how to keep the customers happy. Lovely decor, actually white linen, so if you want a nice date night good place to go too. Just thoughts.
