   Our favorite place for special occasions!! Creative cocktails, Excellent wine list, delicious dishes and the new spumoni baked Alaska dessert!! Yum!

   Our service Kathy was incredible. Knowledgeable and friendly. She took excellent care of us and made excellent suggestions. Our food was delicious with great flavor combinations. Our fish was very fresh and cooked perfectly. The dessert options are insane. Definitely get your chocolate fix here! The acknowledgment of my birthday with a sweet was a lovely touch.    WOW! We loved our experience at Michael’s on East. We started in the bar area with cocktails and an appetizer in a relax setting with live piano music. We then moved to the dining room and ordered our meals and wine. The waitress was wonderful. She was professional and knew the menu very well. We could tell she was very seasoned server. Everyone was pleased with their Salads and appetizer. The octopus was very tender and delicious. We had the Seabass and Pompano fish for our entrees. They was absolutely wonderful.

   We were somewhat disappointed. Our wait time was unacceptable. We were seated at 5:45 pm and then we waited.and waited. And waited. Eventually we were served bread and ordered. We received our food at 7:15. Then we waited and waited and waited. We left the restaurant approx 8:15 pm. My friend ordered bow tie pasta with “light” cream sauce. It was not light and she ate very little of it. The bronzino was excellent and plentiful. I had the scallops and shrimp which was very good. This was an unusual experience and it appeared there wasn’t enough staff. But when you are paying these prices you expect exceptional food and service.

   This place is perfect for a special occasion. Everything we ordered was perfectly prepared...NY Strip, Chilean Sea Bass, duck spring rolls, and crispy potstoe rolls. The service was impeccable. Highly recommend and hope to return in the future.

   Wait staff, exceptional, including making astute wine recommendations. Food, both seafood (lobster bisque, Chilean sea bass and mussels) and and duck, was excellent. Best restaurant in Sarasota metropolitan area!

   Joined by our old-time friends from Syracuse. Kathy was our server again - outstanding as always. Michael’s Salad, veal chop, sea bass, filet mignon were perfectly prepared and nicely presented. Spumoni baked Alaska was a terrific - and sinfully sweet dessert. Overall great evening! Can’t wait to return!

   We brought our daughter with us for a wonderful family dinner. We all tried the Japanese pre fix special and each had a different appetizer and entree. Overall it was a unique experience and we enjoyed the evening. As always the service was impeccable.

    Dinner was wonderful, Gregory did a great job taking care of us. Only complaint, piano player is too loud. Heard many tables ask to be reseated because piano was too loud.
