Review summary

AI-generated from verified diner reviews
Milleridge Inn offers a charming atmosphere, with "excellent service" and a welcoming, festive ambiance, especially during holidays. While some guests noted changes in the menu, the "French onion soup" and nostalgic dishes like popovers and cinnamon bread remain favorites. The "decorations and activities" for children enhance the experience, making it a delightful family destination.

The ambience is very nice for Christmas but they need extra help for service and they need to improve the food. I would go there if you are looking to be in a festive restaurant, but do not expect top notch food. I love this restaurant and would like to see it remain open, but owner/management needs to get a better chef and more wait staff. Then it will be a wonderful place to go. They also have added a lot of fun activities kids and adults which is a very nice touch.

Wonderful experience. Cute little village type of stores....then onto a very nice hostess station. The food was delicious and plentiful. Highly recommend.

Good food, service and not overpriced. The star is the whole concept of the place, which is transformed into a Winter Wonderland.

This was my first visit to the Milleridge Inn in a good few years and I was very disappointed. While the decor was nice, it can’t be eaten. I ordered from the Prix Fixe menu, which consisted of two choices, one of which was pot roast. You had a choice of soup or salad, the pot roast with mashed potatoes and green beans, and dessert. I chose the soup which was very salty, as was the pot roast. Others in our party ordered from the regular menu. There were only three option for dessert (also ice cream) and none of them appealed to those in our party. One in our party is gluten intolerant and there were no options available to her. The service was not what we were expecting. It will be a good many years before we eat again at the Milleridge Inn.

Went with friends for a special lunch. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The server was professional and attentive. The food overall was delicious. One person was disappointed in their pork chop.

The service was terrible. I’ve eaten there many times and this was the first time I was very unhappy with the restaurant. We waited almost 2 hours to get our entrees. They didn’t bring us bread. When we asked for it we were told they’re ran out. We complained that 2 other tables came after us and got bread. The waitress said they’re had none left. The busboy came by twice to take our utensils away, and we had to keep telling him that we haven’t eaten yet. The waitress disappeared for over a half hour. Never came to refill our water glasses and didn’t ask if we wanted another drink. They charged us for refills on our sodas. We paid $40 for soda. We wouldn’t have needed refills if we didn’t have to wait hours for our dinner. They didn’t even seem to care. They didn’t give us a break on the bill or even offer us a soda on the house. We were there for 3 hours. It was the wirst service I’ve had at a restaurant

The ambience of the Inn is beautiful and makes me want to continue coming back. However, the restaurant is extremely crowded and results in extreme wait times in getting your food. We waited 45 minutes in between the appetizers and entrees. The other problem is that they kept running out of the popovers. We didn’t get ours until we had almost finished our meal, while others who came in after us, had theirs. The meals were okay, but the sides were barely warm. I’m on the fence as to whether I would return.

So beautifully decorated for Christmas. It was quite festive, but the carolers appeared infrequently and could only be heard if you were within 10 feet of them. Popovers were supposed to be included but they only appeared when we asked for them. I really want to like the Milleridge, but despite the renovations, the food is awful and overpriced. A Kir Royale in a small glass was $18. A salad of iceberg lettuce drowning in ranch dressing was $22 and the chicken entrees we had consisted of the driest, toughest, oldest piece of chicken I’ve ever had and some roasted potatoes that tasted as if they were reheated leftovers. Two small drinks, one split salad and two entrees, with tip for two people was $166. I will walk around the cute shops but I will never dine there again. Horrible food. Such a shame. It used to be so nice.

Off to a bad start when we had to wait 45 minutes to be seated even though we had a reservation. The service was good, a bit slow to start because there is not enough wait staff for the amount of customers. Our first glass of wine was quite small. The food was good except that my salmon was cold and my mother’s chicken was overcooked.
