   Great food. I’m surprised at how good the food tastes relative to the reasonable prices. Most places overcharge when within a nice hotel.

   A little disappointed since I have heard so many good things about the hotel. I expected a much more sophisticated and elegant restaurant and better quality food. I would not recommend it for a New Year’s Eve dinner…However, our server was awesome.

   We were sat outside without even being asked if we wanted to sit outside, and it was chilly. I made my reservation almost a month ago, so I should have had priority seating inside because up until 3 days ago they still had reservation in my time available, or I should have at least been asked if I wanted to sit inside. My flat bread came out cold, like the cheese was visibly cold and not melted, like it had been sitting out, then being out in the cold didn’t help the food at all. Our waiter checked on us once and then never again, all his tables were inside and we were his only table outside. We had to find a hostess to let our waiter know we were ready for the check after sitting around for almost 20 minutes. I expect this level of service at an Applebees but not the Monarch. If we do NYE here again, I’ll be door dashing my food.

    Dinner was meh- had deviled eggs which were very dry, one bite and sent them back. The charcuterie board was very delicious! The bread was perfect! All the cheeses were great! Nuts and honey - I was very pleased! The calamari was good - but it’s SPICY!! Wayyyyyyy too much ice in the drinks- literally one sip and the drink was gone. Poor presentation of the Reese PB martini. They had to have been short staffed cause it literally took 15 minutes to get drinks. LOVE the hotel- wish the restaurant could match the same energy.
