We've been serving the people of Braintree and beyond since 2015 and in that time have humbly become ‘one of Essex’s best restaurants.’ We have received recognition from the AA, having been awarded an AA Rosette for ‘culinary excellence’ for five consecutive years, and then in 2023 we received our second rosette, putting the restaurant amongst the top 10 restaurants in Essex. Our food is of course one of our main focuses, but we don’t just stop there.     We booked in advance as there was 10 of us, we were called prior to confirm our booking which was good, we were a bit early but seated straight away, service was quick and friendly and met all our needs, food was so lovely , definitely go back !

    Food was good but when making booking we were not advised that the kitchen closed at 3-00. The staff said that all food would need to be bought to the table at the same time, we were not offered dessert or coffee and instead the bill was put on the table without us asking - we were rushed out as staff were standing staring at our table - shame as it was my mothers birthday lunch…

    I went with my two daughters , we all thought the food was excellent , my daughters had the vegetarian dish which they said was superb , I had the skate wing which was delicious . The starter of onion and goats cheese tart was gorgeous

    Great lunch. Booked a business lunch for 2 on a Wednesday before Christmas - we were the only ones in the restaurant which was a bit disconcerting and made me question whether I had got things wrong but I need not have worried. The food was excellent - very well presented and extremely tasty and the service was very polite and efficient (as expected when only 2 people in the restaurant!). I was advised that they are usually busy and things were manic from that evening onwards until there New Year so hope this was the case and the restaurant will continue as I would happily eat there again. Would happily recommend.
