Quince is an upscale casual, indoor/outdoor restaurant where all demographics and generations come together and enjoy a dining experience beyond normal expectations. People may initially visit for the terraces with exceptional views, but the food and the overall “Quince Experience” is what keeps them coming back. The "crave-worthy" and "global collective" menus & the team’s attentive and personal service are mixed with carefully-curated happy tunes which altogether create a positive-energy experience rarely found in a restaurant. The menu offers classic dishes in a casual but sophisticated, retro-designed space that is both lively and comfortable, capturing the essence of a night out at your favorite neighborhood joint. The space consists of a central dining room overlooking Shoal Creek and 6th Street, polished wood bar, Mildred’s Room (a private dining/wine room), and wraparound patio dining area. Please note that patio seating is weather contingent. The menu offers riffs on standards including Housemade Mozzarella Sticks, Clams Casino, and Caesar Salad a la Tommy; timeless pastas like Spaghetti with Meatballs, and Linguine Vongole; and Sammie’s Classics: big portions of iconic plates like Chicken and Eggplant Parmigiana, Veal Marsala, and Baked Manicotti.

We had a wonderful experience at J Carver! This was our 2nd year coming here from out of state for a girls trip and the Austin Half Marathon. Phil was our server and he was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, charismatic and welcoming . We never were made to feel rushed; instead we felt invited to slow down and enjoy the experience. The food and the service was divine! Thank you, Phil and J Carver staff for being a favorite tradition when we visit Austin!

From the moment we Met the hostess, who provided us with one of the best seats of the house known we’ve been waiting two months to eat at the restaurant to staff that provided water or waitress. Emma was amazing. Everyone was kind and informative, and the food was spectacular. Seafood was out of this world. The drinks were on target and dessert the black lava cake that was suggested amazing highly highly recommend this restaurant. Everyone was cordial and nice and really provided us an excellent experience

Food was great- Service was fantastic. My aunt stopped through town and we decided last minute dinner plans. We were obvi underdressed but the staffed made us feel welcome. Our server picked up on the fact we will be chatting quite a bit and left us to catch up (great timing). I knew my aunt was gonna fight for the bill but I already told him- I’m taking it. And I’m glad he held up the bargain and didn’t give in to the sweet old lady eyes. She truly is a wonderful lady and you made this evening make her feel wonderful. So thank you to the server from table 209. <3
