- SSteveNew Orleans / Louisiana •4 reviews4.0Dined 3 days agoFood was excellent! Our server, Kaiden, was polite, attentive, professional and knowledgeable. He acknowledged our anniversary and the owner came to our table and did a champagne toast. Our only two suggestions for improvement are: 1. Don’t keep it so cold in the dining room 2. Have a bartender in the dining room bar to prepare drinks and not in the downstairs bar. We waited 20-25 minutes for our first drink. Other than these two items, we enjoyed our experience.More infoPapillon'sPrice: Expensive• Italian• Mandeville•4.7

12 stellar special-occasion restaurants in New Orleans
New Orleanians mark time by food seasons, not calendar flips. The hottest months belong to frozen daiquiris and technicolor snoballs. Discover Northshore
Many of the restaurants in the Northshore region of New Orleans are what you might call "no frills." Here, it's all about good food and good times. The lack of bells and whistles doesn't mean a lack of choices, though. Whether you're in the mood for classic comfort dishes, fresh seafood, Louisiana Cajun, or something else entirely, you're sure to find it here. Grab some beignets for breakfast before you head out on your day. Does a po'boy sound interesting? Try one for lunch. For dinner, it's time for some gumbo or jambalaya. Is it Monday? That means red beans and rice, of course.
