- TTimWashington, D.C. Area •3 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoBeing from out of town, I only know that Portland has a reputation as a great food place. This was our first dining experience on an extended visit, and it may be pretty hard to top. Cocktail I started with was great, as was the beef carpaccio started we shared. My duck was perfect, and the risotto it sat on was really interesting and a great accompaniment. My wife's haddock looked amazing (I believe she confirmed that it was). Since we were pretty much the only diners there in that half of the restaurant (away from the bar), it was nice and quiet; eventually another small group arrived (it was a Monday night). The servers were helpful, attentive without being obtrusive, and friendly. Great neighborhood spot; I'd love to have a place like David's near me. I'll definitely be back before our stay in the area is over.More infoDavid's 388Price: Expensive• Bistro• South Portland•4.8
- JJanetPhiladelphia County •8 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoThis is the second time I needed a restaurant open on Mondays in Portland, and both times David was my choice. The food and wine I had were delicious and the restaurant itself is attractive and offered great service. My group had a great time and I'm sure we'll be back.More infoDavid's RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Portland•4.7
