- EEricCentral Kentucky •10 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoFood was great. Service was on point. Atmosphere is excellent. Prices are a little outrageous, have gone up a little too much. Would love to go more often, but if the prices keep going up, I will go to a different restaurant.More infoJeff Ruby's Steakhouse - LouisvillePrice: Very Expensive• Steak• Downtown Louisville•4.9

Discover Bardstown
Bardstown is a quasi-surreptitious suburb about 30 miles southeast of Louisville. This smaller city boasts fewer chain restaurants than its metropolitan northern neighbor, but with that comes the opportunity to visit small-town cafes or to make reservations in one of several elegant eateries seated in Victorian-style houses. In fact, the highlight of dining in this city is the atmosphere in one of these seven dining establishments, which includes an actual dinner train. The Kentucky Hot Brown is a classic dining darling that has maintained its popularity for a century. This delight is an open-faced turkey sandwich that consists of turkey, bacon, and pimientos topped with a delicate Mornay sauce. The sandwich is placed under a broiler to melt the cheese. Some variations have used either a cheese sauce or Hollandaise sauce and omitted the pimientos and been monikered the Hot Brown. It has been said that over 1,200 Kentucky Hot Brown Sandwiches are served each year during the Kentucky Derby!
