Bobby Margot is an absolute magician at running this restaurant the restaurant business is definitely his calling. Our waitress was AMAZING, so sorry I forgot her name. But she was GREAT. - AAMvipDenver / Colorado •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoEveryone was friendly and warm! More delicious food than we could eat! If you have a chance to celebrate a birthday here, just know that you will have a blast! Couldn’t have ended our stay on a brighter note than this charming, delightful restaurant! (And try the Bananas Foster, even if you don’t especially like bananas, the sauce even just on the vanilla ice cream, the story, it’s worth it even if you end up feeding most of the banana to your dining companion. ^_^) Six star service!More infoBrennan'sPrice: Expensive• Creole• French Quarter•4.8
- KKrisNew Orleans / Louisiana •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoMy first experience at this restaurant and thought it was wonderful! Very good food along with a variety of options on the menu that all looked great. Outside of the food and menu options, I do not like restaurants that enforce a 4% tip for the kitchen plus a 20% auto gratuity. That’s 24% forced onto the consumer. Not a fan of this at all. There are several great restaurants in NO so it will be tough for me to return to this place with this fee practice. If this doesn’t concern you as a consumer, then give them a try. But for me, it’s possibly a “one and done” experience.More infoApollinePrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Uptown•4.7
- MMaresiavipTampa / Central Florida West •9 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 24, 2024The food and service was amazing. I had the cheeseburger and my sister had the lamb burger. We both enjoyed. We also had the fresh cut fries and onion rings. For dessert we tried the hot apple spring roll with ice cream. We enjoyed our dinning experience. Everything was exceptional.More infoSon of a BunPrice: Expensive• Comfort Food• Uptown•4.3

12 stellar special-occasion restaurants in New Orleans

Discover Uptown
Looking for a melting pot of cultures within the city of New Orleans? You'll find it in the Uptown neighborhood located north of the Mississippi River. In its early years, this area of the city attracted both overseas immigrants and transplants from other regions of the United States, and the neighborhood also boasted a large population of African-Americans. It's no wonder, then, that the restaurant scene in Uptown features a wide variety of cuisines from which to choose. Go for a Mediterranean flair at Italian pizzerias that feature homemade dough, lean toward Southern classics at a cafe that serves shrimp and grits, or enjoy classic Cajun and Creole dishes. Oh, and don't forget Uptown's German influence; try traditional Bavarian bratwursts or a sausage made from New Orleans crawfish.
