- NNancyPittsburgh / Western PA •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoThe pasta dishes were superb, as was the salad with lump crab meat and avocado. The panini, however, was disappointing. The bread was two slabs of thick, Texas-style bread, and the filling was very thick. Along with the Italian meats and cheese, there was shredded lettuce. If it was cooked on a Panini Press, the chef/cook forgot to close and press it. Obviously, whoever made the Panini has never been to Italy.More infoCasbahPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Shadyside•4.8

- MMattvipPittsburgh / Western PA •8 reviews5.0Dined on Oct 19, 2024We went for dinner for the first time on a Saturday night. The staff is very friendly. They make everything in house, which means the food isn’t already prepared in the kitchen so you will wait longer than most restaurants for your food but it’s worth the wait. We had drinks and appetizers while waiting for our entrees. Everything was wonderful. Again the staff/owner all were very friendly, they make you feel very welcome. . Make sure you make reservations it isn’t a very big places and all the tables were booked when we went.More infoNancetta's RistorantePrice: Expensive• Italian• Fox Chapel•4.2

Discover Oakmont
By the Allegheny River in Pennsylvania lies the borough of Oakmont where several U.S. Open golf tournaments have been held. This Pittsburgh suburb derived its name from a black oak tree that originally served as an important landmark. Oakmont residents and visitors like to head toward the river when they're hungry. Cafes, pizzerias, and sushi bars operate side-by-side on Allegheny River Boulevard and other nearby streets. You can get Italian wedding soup as a starter or taste a variety of spicy Thai curries. Perhaps you'll enjoy a Victorian tea party at high noon. Surprisingly, many of the borough's restaurant owners allow you to bring your own beer, and others provide a nice selection of craft beers.
