- VVanessaLancashire •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days ago“Tucked away in a cozy corner of The Royal Pub it offers a warm and inviting atmosphere. The rustic decor and friendly chatter create the perfect setting “The staff were attentive and approachable, ensuring we felt welcome from the moment we walked in. Our server, was knowledgeable and quick to make recommendations “The star of our meal was the classic Royal Burger. It's a hearty burger, packed with flavour. “we had no room for dessert"! “The pub boasts an impressive array of craft beers and ales. Also speciality coffee's. We had a 'Baileys Latte'. Would definatley. Recommend this “For the quality and portions, the prices were reasonable. It’s a great spot for a meal that doesn’t break the bank.” To Sum it up “Whether you’re after a hearty meal or a casual drink with friends, The Royal delivers on all fronts. It’s a gem worth revisiting.”More infoThe RoyalPrice: Moderate• Pub• Bolton-le-Sands•4.6

- AAnnNewcastle and Northumberland •1 review5.0Dined on Nov 15, 2024We both chose the set menu. 3 courses with good options was excellent value for money. The prawn cocktail was particularly good. The highlight was the sticky toffee dessert which I can honestly say is the best I have ever had. Choices for the main course were not overly exciting but beautifully presented. I opted for the haddock served in a cheese sauce which I enjoyed. The service was excellent, friendly but non intrusive. The dining room was full yet we were served promptly and made to feel welcome. The dining room itself is a special treat overlooking the lake.More infoThe Lakeview Restaurant at Macdonald Old England HotelPrice: Expensive• British• Windermere•4.3
