Lovely Boxing Day afternoon meal. Staff were very smart , efficient and polite. Food was very nice and reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere.

I cannot praise The Bateman Arms enough We ate Christmas lunch here today and it was perfect! Lovely venue, delicious food and the best staff ever! We will definitely be back!

Smart, comfortable and spacious bar and dining areas. Staff were excellent and it warm and inviting. It was Christmas Eve so, understandably, busy and a little too noisy for me. The food was very good although the choice mains was perhaps underwhelming for the quality of the venue. Our table was a tad sticky - not enough to complain about but table prep needs to be more thorough. There were three of us, one sat on a fitted sofa style seat, the other two seated at chairs. These weren’t the most comfortable - would have preferred chairs with arms. However, our overall experience was good.

A 2nd time having dinner at The Riverside at Aymestrey, this time taking my Mother and father for a Christmas dinner. From start to finish, this place is exceptional. We received a friendly welcome, all the staff are attentive and the whole ambience is warm and inviting. We sat in the lower dining room and the food was absolutely excellent and fantastic value. The restaurant was accomodating to our requests prior to arrival and we had a wonderful time. We enjoyed sitting by the fireplace to have coffee afterwards. I think this is a new family favourite!! Thank you to all the staff who made our Christmas dinner so special.
