The staff were all so welcoming and friendly, the service was fantastic, gorgeous ambience and delicious food. We had the 2 course Heritage meal which was such good value, and had a glass of complementary English sparkling wine each and a dessert with candle as it was my birthday! This time with two friends who live locally but had not been to the pub before. I was again not dissappointed. The best roast in Sussex in my opinion. Excellent value for money. The ambiance lovely in this old pub. The food was amazing. An abundance of freshly cooked vegetables. Lovely crispy roast potatoes with a fluffy interior. Large portion of meat. The service is excellent. Attentive polite staff. Easy to park in large car park and lovely gardens in which we had a pre lunch drink.
