Turtle Bay Restaurants

We sat in the patio outside restaurant proper so noise level was lower. But service was fantastic. Food: Caesar salad, French Onion soup, beef bourginon and Steak Diane all flavorful and filling. Our server and clean up crew were great! Great, simple place to eat with really good food.

The rib eye was perfect, the hash browns were outstanding, and the coconut layer cake was out of this world.

Overall, excellent, excellent experience. The Smith is an exquisite establishment and the midtown location is no exception. I’ve rated as highly as I could but the one bit of feedback that I’d like to provide is the following: 1. When my date and I arrived for our reservation, our table was not ready. A table was being cleared off, which tells me one wasn’t reserved. We waited no more than 3 minutes so it’s not a big deal, but if a reservation is in place, the restaurant should be waiting on us, not the other way around. 2. I mentioned when booking that the occasion was a birthday. My wife’s birthday to be precise. I don’t need or want anything free from the restaurant (though that’s always nice when that happens) but an acknowledgment of her birthday would’ve been welcome. Super super nitpicky and I really didn’t want to complain as our server was excellent and the food even better! The vibes were excellent too. But I figured I’d might as well provide the only two things that bugged me in the hopes that they see this feedback. Other than this, thank you again for a wonderful time!

We had the best experience here!! The service was absolutely outstanding, as was the food!! We came to NYC for my 10 year old’s birthday, and she said it was the best pasta she’s ever had. We will definitely be back!
