   Great experience. Service was excellent (love Abigail). Mushroom ravioli was delicious and the pot roast was so tender, it fell off the fork. We will be returning here again!

   Love was in the air last night at the New South restaurant! We couldn't have had a better Valentine's Day Dinner.

   Food as always was excellent. The Halibut was cooked perfectly and my collard greens were very flavorful. The roasted Chicken entree and the Mac and Cheese were also very good. The service was excellent and very attentive. A really nice neighborhood restaurant.

   Abigail did a wonderful job for Valentine’s Day. Food was excellent, albeit a bit expensive. Our disappointment came from the brusque hostess who seated us. There were three booths that were open, she proceeded to seat us to the one closest to the bathroom. I asked politely if we could have an open booth a bit further from the bathroom door. She proceeded to let me know that she couldn’t make any changes because they had many reservations for Valentine’s Day. That much I understood, but could not comprehend what that had to do with booth selection. Rudely, she said she couldn’t make the change. Ironically, the other two booths were vacant for a good 30-45 minutes while we dined. When there are so many choices available for dining I would expect much better hospitality. Unfortunately, for New South we won’t be dining there in the future.

   Been coming here almost 30 years and this great restaurant has never failed us always having a varied menu, great food and excellent service.

   Abigail was outstanding; she was sharp, always checking on us, providing light banter and fantastic service! 2 of 3 in our party arrived shortly before our designated time, and were told to wait until the 3rd arrived. Looking around, we could see open and set tables. This "wait-until" direction is antiquated. I heard the hostess give the same directions to the 2 ladies behind us... while waiting for their 3rd. Both sets were 2 of 3, not 2 of 6. At our precise time we asked to be seated so we could order a drink, and were told we "were welcome", how gracious, to have a drink in the bar. The bar was full... all stools and the high-tops, full. We ordered drinks; the bartender was efficient and quick. Now with our drinks in hand, in a full bar, we seated ourselves at one of the dinner tables because there was nowhere else to go. No one asked us to move. Once our 3rd arrived, we moved from one dinner table to another dinner table... the saving grace was Abigail.

    Food was very good. Our server Graham was excellent. Very helpful and attentive. He offered excellent recommendations. The only negative was the noise level as there are hard surfaces, and several tables around us were occupied with loud people. Something that could not be helped by the restaurant. We will dine here again.
