A Northern Italian kitchen inspired by the Bacari of Venice.

Our menu is inspired by tradition and dictated by the quality and availability of ingredients. We play off the similarities between the climates of Eastern Ontario and Northeast Italy, and create our take on classic dishes made with seasonal game, seafood and vegetables. Plus, sometimes we’ll just add whatever we want.

    On practically every calle, salizada and ruga in Venice, you’ll find a Bacaro – a casual place to grab a glass of wine or Prosecco and a bite to eat, known as “cichèti.” Bacari are Italy’s answer to the pub, and cichèti are the Italian answer to Spanish tapas. Italians have an answer for everything. Situated at the rear of the restaurant, our Bacaro upholds the Italian tradition of togetherness.     Amazing food. Good wine. Great service. The waitress really took the time to describe the menu to us. You don't go there if you're in a rush but the service is still quite fast overall. It's my go to place in Ottawa.

    Good, creative food in a nice atmosphere. Service was great in a partial private room, great attention to detail. Food is very good but expensive for what you get.

    Dined at North & Navy last night for my fiancée and I’s anniversary. We opted for the “Dinner for Two” which included four dish items from the menu + wine pairings and dessert. The service was thoughtful with management going above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. We had the polpette, risotto, taleggio, and tournedos rossini. All were delicious and unique, with the latter standing out as a creative and flavourful way to enjoy a tenderloin.

    Un expérience exceptionnelle. Tant la nourriture, savoureuse et nuancée, que le vin (canadien ! ❤️) et l’ambiance feutrée et relaxante, accompagnée d’un service attentionné et connaissant. L’addition est un peu salée, mais ça en vaut totalement le prix ! North and Navy fait maintenant partie de mes top 10 restaurants au Canada.

    Food was amazing. Very accommodating to our nut allergy and went out of their way to assure me I wasn’t a hassle and even modified certain dishes to give the full experience of the dish without the nuts. Staff were amazing and very helpful
