A piece of Austria without Alpine kitsch in the middle of Berlin - that's Ottenthal. Unnecessary frills are avoided here and quality in details and consistency is sought. The restaurant is named after a small wine-growing village in Lower Austria. This is located 60 km west of Vienna and is the hometown of the owner Arthur Schneller. The diverse, tasty cuisine as well as the seasonal, loving decorations have their origins there. WE ARE AIR CONDITIONED!

Excellent restaurant serving authentic and modern/sophisticated Austrian cuisine. The waitress was pleasant, spoke English very well, and continued to check up on the table throughout the experience. There was a special appetizer of venison terrine with a vegetable (think a sweet ratatouille) filling wrapped in a filo dough purse with lingonberries on the side. It was excellent! The main was taflespitz, which was also excellent. I didn’t leave room for desert, as the portions were more than enough. Would definitely recommend for those wanting to partake in Austrian cuisine in the heart of Berlin!

Das Restaurant Ottenthal besticht durch seinen hervorragenden und äußerst sympathischen und sachkundigen Service. Ein absolutes Muss für alle Liebhaber der österreichischen Küche, die in besonders angenehmer Atmosphäre genossen werden kann. Absolutes Lieblingsrestaurant!😊
