We mill AZ grown grain in house, daily. We focus on whole animal butchery, done in house. We have an extensive fermentation program. Our bar program largely focuses on wines that are organic, biodynamic, and produced with minimal intervention. Dine- in, takeout and deliveryWed- Sun 12:00PM-9:00PMAt the heart of the vibrant Tucson gastronomic scene is a quaint, family owned restaurant that has made a name for itself by combining the classical French education of Executive Chef Steven Schultz with the flavors of traditional southwest cuisine. Driven by the vision of casual fine dining that he shares with wife and Maudi Gourdin, the pair have managed to make The Wild Garlic Grill one of Tucson’s premiere destinations for food lovers from all walks of life. That all too familiar aroma of garlic will titillate your senses from the moment you step through the front door, followed instantly by the pageantry of Chef and his crew hard at work in the open kitchen where you can watch your meal as it is prepared. One can sense the warmth that emanates from their comradery and dedication and it doesn’t take long to notice that the front of house staff shares the same passion. It’s almost as if they are one big happy family…

My only complaint is that we were celebrating two birthdays and I had a conversation with the manager prior to being sitted and he stated he would alert our waiter and unfortunately nothing was brought up or done for these special milestones

My husband and I had a lovely dinner! Right as we were ordering, our server let us know they were shorthanded and that was slowing things down. She offered to buy us a dessert- which was very kind! Drinks were yummy (they even have Mexican Coke!) as was our food. Some of the neighboring tables were a bit loud- but not so bad as to really disrupt the meal (and certainly not in the restaurant’s control). The only real drawback is the restroom - which is outside the restaurant and up a flight of stairs (and requires a passcode). Otherwise - a great meal!

We recently moved to Tucson (like a week ago) and rather than try to cook a turkey dinner for Thanksgiving, we opted for making reservations. The reviews for Sullivan’s were good, so we made a reservation for late afternoon (3:30 pm). We had a cocktail in the bar before dinner (very well stocked and friendly staff) and selected the Thanksgiving holiday meal. The appetizer course came quickly and after twenty minutes or so a food runner brought our dessert. The waiter, Bruce, quickly whisked them back to the kitchen. After another twenty minutes or so, after seeing tables who arrived after us being served entrees, I asked Bruce if dinner would be coming soon. He condescendingly said “we have four dining rooms full of people so the kitchen is a bit busy right now but I submitted your order as soon as the appetizers were brought out”. Luckily, he must have mentioned it to Matthew, the manager on duty that day. Matthew arrived and said there had been a computer issue and our dinners had been affected (so, it wasn’t just the busy day that had caused the delay, Bruce). Matthew made us feel welcome at Sullivan’s and saved the experience for us. For the rest of the meal, Bruce was even chillier than before. He was clearly not having a good day but Matthew was. Matthew is why I’m giving a five Star rating and while we will be back for steaks next month.
