Eight years ago, Maximo Bistrot started as a restaurant for the thinking and execution of dishes from a wide range of techniques with the best of local ingredients; a warmful place that communicated our love for food. After a long and heartwarming road at our current location, we thought for the need of moving. Our new home, located at Alvaro Obregon 65 bis - a much wider space where gleams of natural light shine upon the surface-, is carefully assembled by Gabriela's meticulous look, and a kitchen built within Eduardo García's early memories, while living as an inmigrant in a barn in Ohio. Despite this big change, our principles initially founded remain the same: to offer food that distinguishes the best of local products.

    The often-recommended octopus ceviche was excellent. We had jamon iberico here for our first time, and that was wonderful as well. Our mains, which included Wagyu lengua, artichoke w/ bagna cauda sauce, and lobster pasta, were all hits, though it was tough to follow up the starters we had. I also really liked the two desserts we had: one was a chocolate tart with miso ice cream, and the other was made with phyllo, pistachio, and had goat cheese with olive oil on top. Service was attentive throughout the night, and the staff was very accommodating of all our needs.

    After we ordered and received our cocktails, we were not checked on for over 30 minutes and had to seek out a server to order food. The server was apologetic and all of the staff were very friendly. The food was all delicious but the timing was off for a tasting menu. Some of the dishes came out back to back while other times we were waiting without the next course. The food was delicious and I would return in hopes of a better experience.

    A stunning restaurant with incredible food at a great price. The sashimi was top-notch, and the cocktails were the way to go. We had the Hawaii de Vacaciones and Animal Soul, both fantastic. Our waiter, Luis Mendoza, delivered phenomenal service, and as a surprise for our honeymoon, we were treated to a special dessert at the end. An unforgettable experience and a great start to our honeymoon!

    My husband and I spent a month in Mexico City eating in a different restaurant from the Michelin Guide each evening. Migrante was by far the best. The atmosphere is lovely, the waitstaff is excellent and the food is inventive, beautifully presented, reasonably priced, and delicious.
