Café Berlin has been serving authentic German cuisine on Capitol Hill since 1985. It occupies the ground floor of three townhouses whose front yards serve as Biergarten for outdoor dining. The interior features a small bar and two cozy dining rooms. The restaurant is located within a short walking distance of Union Station and the U.S. Capitol. It draws politicians, congressional staffer, and tourists as well a loyal following of neighborhood residents. The traditional dishes are authentically prepared with lighter touch by chefs with extensive experience in German cuisine.     Oh my god. I was hesitant to go here at first because of a few negative reviews I read. But, I went and let me tell you, I’ll be going back. From start to finish, everything & everybody was fantastic. The food was delish; came out fast and it was hot; the waitress was attentive and friendly; the ambiance was 100. Can’t say enough good things about YardBird. I’m just glad i didn’t base my experience off of other reviews. Go! You won’t regret it.

    We went there for my boyfriend birthday and we’re both so thankful for the overall services from the host to the servers even the one that wasn’t assigned to us were very kind . A special thanks to Yaser impeccable service he took care of my boyfriend and I like we were family. Food also 10/10 ambiance really relaxing and chic .we will definitely be back.

    Our first time dining here we requested a booth or table near the window which we were able to get upon arriving so we were happy with that. We got Salads as our appetizers And we each got the capital cut Along with the crab cake entree Our food was absolutely delicious Worth every penny And our service was really awesome as well I can't remember our server's name but he was really attentive and did a good job explaining the menu specials we will definitely be back might be our new favorite Steakhouse in DC.

    We dined at The Smith in DC twice for dinner and enjoyed it so much that we returned for lunch the next day! The food was delicious and fresh, with a menu that perfectly suits an American-style restaurant. The staff was very accommodating, and the pricing was moderately valued. We were very satisfied with every visit. Staying at the hotel across the street made it even more convenient. I only wish I had taken food photos to capture how great everything looked! We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in DC from Miami!
