Inspired by the wood-fired Robata grills of Japan, Mizu offers a refreshed take on live-fire cooking atop the Hyatt Centric in the heart of Charlotte’s SouthPark neighborhood. Opened in August of 2021 and named one of 2022's "25 Best New Restaurants" and "50 Best Restaurants" by Charlotte Magazine, the rooftop restaurant by Indigo Road Hospitality Group (IRHG) combines the traditions of ancient Japanese cooking with Southern influences and Asian flavors. The kitchen, anchored by Mizu’s own Robata grill, features a seafood-focused menu composed of wood-fired, raw, and chilled offerings.The beverage program focuses on bright, easy-drinking libations using Japanese spirits and seasonal ingredients, complementing the cuisine and atmosphere. With a chic, minimalist design with natural elements throughout, the restaurant, named for the Japanese word for water, offers sweeping rooftop views from the patio, as well as sophisticated interiors and comfortable lounge and bar seating.

Located at Atherton Mill in Charlotte's historic South End neighborhood, Indaco (Italian for "indigo") serves Italian cuisine. Wood-fired pizzas, hand-crafted pastas, housemade salami and cured sausages fill the restaurant's menu which can be enjoyed family-style or a la carte.     Indaco never disappoints. I went there for a special occasion with a special person and Chef Eric and team provided an absolutely impeccable experience. Alyssa (please forgive me if I misspelled her name) was our incredible server, and she was so great on every level (we can't wait to go back and see her again!).     Always a fantastic experience at Deans in Charlotte. I love bringing new people in to experience Deans and last night presented that opportunity once again. I brought 2 new people that had never dined with Deans and they both said, “hands down the best steak they had ever eaten”! Which was the bone in filet Deans style
