Best Casual Restaurants in Sherman Oaks

I loved everything about my experience, great drinks, amazing service, good atmosphere. I’d give 5 stars across the board but wish they had more vegan and gluten free options. I ended up just having a salad which was good but wasn’t enough for a dinner (adding nuts or mushrooms would have been nice but wasn’t available). Lastly parking with validation for a just shy of 4 hours was $37. That is ridiculous.

Kaiju Sushi in Sherman Oaks stands out as the premier sushi destination in Los Angeles. Having dined at numerous sushi establishments across the city, I can confidently say that Kaiju offers the freshest fish, consistently delivering exceptional quality. The upscale ambiance enhances the dining experience, making each visit memorable. Despite relocating miles away, I find myself returning to Kaiju Sushi, a testament to its unparalleled excellence.

It’s was a great time, but our table grill was not working and we only had a 90min time period. Other than waiting over 30 for someone to fix it, we have an excellent experience. Side note the 5pm staff killed it!

First time at this location. I reserved using OpenTable and had not wait time for our table when we arrived. Server came within minutes to get our drink order and drop off the menus. The have Happy Hour specials until 9pm every night, but we decided to get something from the dinner menu. Food was very good and the portions where just right. Our server was very nice and the atmosphere was good. Not at all crowded. The only issue we had was parking, the restaurant shares the parking lot with a big strip mall that has other restaurants and shops so be mindful to get here with enough time to find parking or use their Valet service. We lucked out and found a parking spot on the street. Overall we had a very good experience here and will return when we need to get a nice date night spot to have dinner.
