It is one of the last old school steak restaurants in Boston. Great service as always and our waiter, Chris was outstanding. We shared a beet and goat cheese salad - perfect. I had the 16 oz NY strip steak. OMG - it was fabulous. Home fries on the side are always a must. My wife had chicken with some crisp, chunks of potatoes. I admit to stealing a few pieces from her plate. Delicious key lime pie for desert. When we arrived we did not want a middle seat so we requested a booth which they also accommodated without an issue. I ordered the crab cake while my date ordered the octopus as apps, both delicious. For main dishes he had fish & chips (which was huge) while I had the haddock with potatoes and broccoli. I believe my dish was a bit on the saltier side but overall I did enjoy it. We paired our food with cocktails which were pretty and tasted good too. I ordered the 3 Valentine’s specials: the beet gnocchi, beet burrata, and cod dish, along with the cooked oysters. All were delicious though I was a bit disappointed with the beet burrata, as it had a very tiny amount of cubed beets and at first believed they forgot the beets on the dish. My partner and I frequent steakhouses in Boston and I can 100% say I have never had the level of service Ariella gave us. My fiancé is pregnant and when we asked for the desert menu , first thing I said is wow they don’t have tiramisu. Ariella 5 minutes later shows up with a tiramisu cheesecake she ran to Cheesecake Factory to get for her. WHAT A ROCKSTAR YOU GUYS HAVE ! Eddie Vs has immediately jumped to my #1 steakhouse and I will be requesting Ariella every time. She embodies what customer service is all about. If you have any event coming up , please request her. If you’re her manager reading this , I beg you to promote her to run this business. Last night we celebrated my wife’s 81st birthday and we were waited upon by Diego Ojeda who did it absolutely wonderful job of making us feel welcome and attending to our needs. As usual, we have the 10 ounce filet mignon our favorite salads, and matching wines. We appreciated the quiet booth and the special dessert celebrating my wife’s birthday.
