Best Authentic Restaurants in Plymouth

This is like 2 restaurants in one. Downstairs seems like a quiet dining room, upstairs is a large boisterous bar and surrounded by high-top tables. We sat upstairs. The food was excellent, and we received the perfect amount of attention from our enthusiastic waiter. The bar could use more help, as we waited a very long time for our second round of drinks. The ‘birria’ tacos are out of this world delicious if you like short ribs.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a Valentine’s Day dinner at The Rooftop Terrace and I couldn’t have been more impressed by the three-course meal they offered. The atmosphere was warm and romantic, making it the perfect setting for a special evening. For the main course, I opted for the prime ribeye special, and it was nothing short of outstanding. The steak was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. Each bite of the ribeye was a melt-in-your-mouth experience. The service throughout the evening was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall experience.

Maekha Thai has great food (scallion pancakes and wings are awesome!), great abience, and a proud owner to match. Chef Lou was friendly, inviting and had a great sense of humor. He truly loves what he does and making his customers happy. On the contrary, the waitress and hostess were a bit too serious and not as personable. Other than that, the food was good, the experience was great and I will definitely be back.
