Clark and Schwenk, friends over the years, discussed starting a place of their own and traded ideas over what the menu would be like. Finally, at the beginning of 2007, they felt ready to strike out on their own and made that vision happen. “I looked around Atlanta and saw a need for a really good old-school restaurant,” Clark says. That restaurant would become C&S Oyster Bar, specializing in classic New York and Paris brasserie-style cuisine. Excellent restaurant, great place for date night, family outings and special occasions. The food is good but I did have some bad appetizers which thankfully the waiter comped. Drinks are always excellent although getting some special cocktails can be slow. Overall great spot and will return.

Had an awesome Post Valentine’s Day lunch at C&S in Sandy Springs with my partner. I had visited this location once before years ago and it was my partner’s first visit. Everything was exceptional. We had no wait and were greeting soon after we were seated by our waiter. All of the wait staff was very attentive. We had the deviled eggs and chargrilled oysters for starters. Next time we would get more oysters and skip the deviled eggs. For our mains the red snapper, fried shrimp and the sides were top notch. We can’t wait to return.

It was a beautiful Valentine dinner with a fixed menu, choice of entrees, beautiful wine, and dessert. They decorated for the evening, had a vocalist and it was amazing!! Such a treat in every way. It was expensive and we paid in advance, but that was even nice because everything was taken care of in advance so that we simply could enjoy. Well done!💕🌹
