- KKathyVancouver / British Columbia •7 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoI rarely do reviews good or bad, unless something during my visit was exceptional. Whether it be the food or the service or both. We usually go to The Keg in Coquitlam but we moved and this Keg is closer to us. I haven’t been to this one in 30 years. All the staff were very nice and took a few minutes to chat. Our server Nadia was great. She was friendly and very attentive. My steak was a bit under cooked for my preference and she took care of it. Then she followed up to make sure I was satisfied. Taylor, the dining room manager brought me my dinner when it was ready and genuinely apologized. He went beyond our expectations to make sure I was satisfied with my meal and with our dining experience. We enjoyed our visit. From the friendly staff, our attentive server, Nadia, and Taylor going beyond the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed our experience. The food was excellent too. Will definitely go back again!More infoThe Keg Steakhouse + Bar - BurnabyPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Burnaby•4.7
- CChadVancouver / British Columbia •6 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWent for the Valentine's Day menu. Had high expectations going in and the food and service exceeded our expectations. The food was sublime. My favourite dish was a Hokkaido scallop cooked perfectly with a beautiful sauce and sorbet and sweetness from julienned green apple with a dollop of caviar. Every bit was beautiful. Wanted to lick the plate it was so good. The next course was a soft egg with creamy polenta, black truffles, and a beautifully thin slide of crunchy sourdough that looked like a lace cover. Just beautiful and delicious. Then a steamed seabass which was cooked to perfection sitting in leche de tigre sauce with a salsa that gave it just the perfect amount of heat. The dish was served skin side up which made for a beautiful presentation. The last savoury course was an Australian wagyu zabuton cut. It was served with a beautifully roasted sunchoke and a wonderful bordelaise sauce. Great flavour with a little bit of chew if you like that. Then they served a sweet drink with a bit of a "spark" which was fun and then the dessert which was yummy but very rich and the only part of the meal which I felt could have been maybe lighter? The dessert was lovely but I could not finish it because it was so rich. Chocolate on chocolate on chocolate. Altogether an amazing meal. The service was excellent and everyone from entry to exit was very friendly and welcoming. Thanks for making our Valentine's dinner such a memorable evening!More infoBotanistPrice: Expensive• Farm-to-table• Coal Harbour•4.8
- EElishaVancouver / British Columbia •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoFirst time coming here. Wonderful service. Ambience is perfect. My husband and I totally loved their brussel sprouts(the char is perfect and the sauce is sublime) and beef tartare (love the cracker underneath the tartare and the flavouring with the egg yolk is amazing). 10/10 King salmon for one of the entrees is also perfect. The fish texture is wonderful, just cooked right. The sauce is the showstopper basically elevating the dish. 10/10 Mushroom risotto- we loved the taste but the consistency is not what we expected from a risotto. Otherwise, flavour is on point. 8/10 Roasted pork belly- my husband rates it at 7/10. He loved the pork belly itself but didn’t feel the puree properly complemented the meat. I would also rate it at 7/10 but mostly because i thought it would be crispier or at least have crispy edges but i do love the puree and the chicharonnes with it. Lastly my husband and I got the salted caramel pot de creme. Loved it. 10/10. Not too sweet. Loved the texture with the vanilla breton on top. My husband also got the Americano to finish, wonderful and superb as he said it. 10/10. Definitely will come back here and try their other dishes. ❤️More infoNightingalePrice: Expensive• Canadian• Coal Harbour•4.7
- BBroughanVIPVancouver / British Columbia •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoOur server Lenny was so friendly and helpful. Both our server and food runner took time to explain every part of the menu, and the aspects to each dish we ordered. My partner and I are certain we’ve had some of the best cocktails and the best sushi at Miku. Quality is their specialty and their service is always impeccable. Especially on a busy night like Valentine’s Day, everything ran smoothly for us and we were provided with a booth for the two of us which made dinner extra special! Thank you to the manager as well for responding quickly via email when I had questions about the set menu! Highly recommend their Aburi set, as it gives you a chance to try a variety of items, and for drinks the bergamot sour is a go to for a sweet yet balanced cocktail!More infoMiku Restaurant - VancouverPrice: Expensive• Japanese• Coal Harbour•4.8
