It’s definitely the best meal and service I’ve experienced in Vancouver in the last year. Happy to have stumbled upon it. Louis was personable, full of charm and his recommendations were dialed for both food and wine. His service was next level, and it was lovely to hear about how his labour of love came to be. He was attentive and extremely generous and insisted on comping our champagne and dessert for our celebration. The Brut from Cowichan Valley, marinated olives and Tofino King Salmon were definite highlights. The many people who took part in serving us were all great hosts: the food was clearly described as it arrived and questions were answered with an interested attitude. It was clear, the servers lived this restaurant and their jobs. We have brought friends here befire and will do again. Felt rushed - the tone was set upon checking in (with reservations) that our table had a reservation and hour later. I looked on line and there were still availability for reservations every hour after ours. When you are having several courses, the timeline is set by the server who takes our order and the kitchen. Our order was not taken promptly so that at up into one hour lunch. At the the one hour mark, we were not yet finished but there were other table empty and no one waiting at the door. 😡 food was good and have been wanting to eat here for quite sometime. Would I eat here again -yes.
