Bright touches and hyper-seasonal products ground the menu with San Diego style, while nods to chef Tara’s Southeast Asian background are interwoven throughout. Located in downtown La Jolla in a 1930’s historic building with exposed brick walls, steel trusses, and a barrel-vaulted ceiling. Into this storied shell is inserted a posh 1970’s diner club.

Food was super spicy. If your sensitive to spice I don't recommend eating here. Such a shame cause it was yummy but burned my mouth and torn up my stomach. Not to mentioned expensive for small amount of food. Drinks were good, atmosphere was awesome.

Wow. I took my fiancé here for his 40th. They had a birthday card on the table which was such a sweet touch. Henry was our server and he was such a joy and made our night. The food was absolutely incredible even with some modifications I needed for some food allergies. Would absolutely go back there again. Such a great experience! Highly recommend the shrimp cocktail and the French onion soup.

What an AMAZING evening! The service at Cesarina was impeccable. Every person that approached us was warm, friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us. From the focaccia to the soup to the pastas and Tiramisu everything was delicious. We enjoyed an early Valentine’s celebration and it was lovely. The ambiance is cozy and warm. I especially loved the little touches of the hot water bottle and blankets to keep us toasty warm. Irish was so friendly, making time to check in on us and share the story of the restaurant. A true gem, can’t wait to return.

Waiter was great and service as a whole very good. They let my wife and I split a Greek salad which was fantastic. The margarita pizza was very good, but we split that as well, plenty of food. Very happy and a nice place to drop in!
