Best Comfort Food Restaurants in San Clemente

I've been to 1886 for brunch, happy hour, and dinner. All 3 were excellent. The food is outstanding . The portions are generous and the service is very attentive. Brunch is a special favorite! You cannot beat the bottomless mimosas for $18.86! I highly recommend 1886 for your dining experience!

Once again, cork fire did not disappoint. We went there for brunch. Everything was excellent. I had the pork confit with scrambled eggs on top. It was very good. We also got the cinnamon toast, crunch French toast, which was excellent and the nachos which were also very good with chicken on top my wife had the omelette and she also said it was very good. They do a great job there with their potatoes, their coffee and their latte and you can’t beat the view of the golf course.

Great food and nice ambience. We spent Valentine’s Day dinner there which they opened special hours for as they are normally a brunch restaurant open from 7a-2p each day. It’s a new restaurant in Dos Lagos so it was nice to try something new. Service was great. We’ll definitely be back to try out the brunch.

In spite of a dismal, rainy day, I was delighted the minute that we walked in the door. The hostess had obviously read my comments when I made our reservation, and greeted us warmly. All of my requests had been met, we were served by a charming, knowledgeable server, and we enjoyed a delicious lunch and a carafe of excellent Cabernet Sauvignon. Topping that off with a luscious dark chocolate torte and fresh- brewed coffee, our time there could not have been better. My thanks to the wonderful, caring staff and your excellent chef!

We always get the chicken dinner and it’s always exceptional. Our server, Melanie, and hostess, Tracy, are exceptional long time employees. Always a warm greeting and amazing service.
