- LleslieVIPChicago / Illinois •10 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoThis was our fist time dining at The Hawksmoore. Our server guided us in making the perfect choices for our table of 2 couples. We each ordered our steak of preference and added the mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, creamed spinach. Appetizers she recommended were scallops-delicious! and shrimp which I would skip as they were hard to peel. Everything was excellent and the steaks were cooked perfectly. Sticky toffee pudding and maple pie will make us go back!More infoHawksmoor ChicagoPrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• River North (Chicago)•4.5
- HHarrietChicago / Illinois •6 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoFirst the restaurant decor is beautiful. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely AMAZING! The portion size was great as well. Music was playing at a level that was enjoyable which allowed us to talk without yelling. Service was prompt and the pricing matched the caliber of food that we received. I highly recommend Jordyn’s restaurant.More infoJordyn’s Soul Cafe - Hyde ParkPrice: Moderate• Soul food• Hyde Park•3.9
- TTerriChicago / Illinois •14 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoTook hubby here for his birthday. This was our second time visiting. The food was just as we remembered, if not even better! We started off with the gumbo, which was hearty in itself. My husband had the Short ribs, which were tender and flavorful. I had the blackened catfish, which was flaky, seasoned well, and melted in my mouth. We also ordered as sides: collard greens, mac n cheese, and cornbread. OMG, I could've lived off the cornbread alone! Greens were cooked to perfection, and mac n cheese was creamy but not overly cheesy. Needless to say, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, and we had a lot of leftovers. The service was top-notch, and it was a great experience overall. It is a small space, so be prepared to maybe sit a little close to other patrons. It was cool for us, great conversation. We will definitely be back, try something else, and remember those sides are enough to 2👍🏾More infoVirtuePrice: Expensive• Southern• Hyde Park•4.9
- RRyanSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoI took my mom for a Valentine's Day lunch. We went around 3 PM, and even though my reservation was at 3:30 PM the staff were nice enough to let me in. Granted it was a low volume of people eating at the time. We were sat near the windows which added to the ambience of our visit. The music made it feel like we were in an old fancy jazz club. I had the French onion soup and the chicken sandwich while my mom had the Walnut turkey club sandwich. Both sandwiches came with well seasoned fries. The food was delicious and our waitress, Annette, was very attentive and sweet. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely go again. I would highly recommend the Walnut Room.More infoThe Walnut Room - ChicagoPrice: Expensive• American• Downtown / Loop•4.6
