Best Vegan Restaurants in Mount Vernon Square

Visited for the all you can eat brunch and welcomed by courteous staff in a beautiful setting. The value is amazing as plenty of food is provided! Next time I will be sure to state which items I do not need/want! Definitely will be back! Only con was a large table for birthday party that impacted the ambience and noise drastically.

We’ve been coming to Elizabeth’s for Valentine’s Day for more than ten years in a row, for good reason. First, it’s romantic, with wonderful ambiance, thoughtful preset menu options, and lovely service. Second, of course it’s delicious, but in a ways that’s at once a surprising culinary treat while also leaving you full but somehow healthier than when you arrived. If you don’t question, “how did they do that” about their vegan dishes at least a couple times throughout the meal, you just weren’t eating mindfully. And lastly, it’s a consistent, local staple that we can count on, down to Elizabeth herself facilitating things and stopping by the table in the most humble and thoughtful of ways. This place should have a Michelin Star.

Upon arrival the staff is super welcoming with smiles (loved it). Very cute intimate spot. As soon as seated our server had waters on the table. Was also very grateful for his attention to us && dietary restrictions mentioned when acquiring about a dish substitutions but not actually saying. My girlfriend said the chicken wings were bomb. I got the veggie mandu fried && they were packed && meaty. For my dish I tried something different but really enjoyed it ! Dessert was highlight of the meal though! the croiffle was out this world. Almost had to get one to go! i will be back for that && the fresh gnger beer.

First time at Oyamel. The food was excellent as was the service by Melvin. He carefully explained the menu and our many serving options. The Oyamel margarita was delicious as were the tocos and rice w mushrooms and Brussel sprout sides. The tres leches dessert was incredible! Overall, and excellent dining experience enhanced by the care of Melvin. We will return soon!

Amazing experience!!! Beautiful view overlooking the Potomac and the ambiance was great! Good place to chill, enjoy food and drinks, and not loud which we like. Special shout out to Tia who greeted us…super hospitable and super professional. We will be back again for sure.
