- BburbanitevipPhiladelphia County •79 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe recently moved to the Central Coast in CA. We often go to Santa Barbara for its restaurant scene. On my wife’s birthday we wanted something special and we were drawn to Stella Mare, with its classic French with a twist menu. We were blown away! Cannot say enough about the food, great housing in a Victorian home, and unparalleled service. The mushroom soup was perfection as was the apple, endive, pecan salad local blue cheese and light vinaigrette dressing. The coq a vin was perfectly seasoned and the meat fell off the bone. The salmon with cauliflower sauce was incredible. We were full but couldn’t resist the French Beignets which were heavenly and different from the normal Beignets. The only issue you better go now because the restaurant is slated to close Dec 31. Don’t miss the opportunity!!More infoStella Mare'sPrice: Expensive• French• Santa Barbara•4.8

- TTimothyCalifornia Central Coast •1 review4.0Dined on Nov 2, 2024I order Sea Bass. My date ordered the Salmon. Sea Bass was over cooked. Dry. Salmon was under cooked. Middle of fish was still sushi. Means chef does not know how to cook fish. It was only restaurant on water front with a reservation available at 07:00pm. It was nearly empty when we walked in. It is a beautiful location. Nice music playing on the Patio. Some of the best view on waterfront. Place should be packed. It is the food. Kitchen needs help.More infoAnchor RosePrice: Expensive• American• Santa Barbara•3.7

Yes, it's a casual place and the menu is somewhat limited, but everything is fresh, well prepared and the staff makes sure everything is exactly right I had the chicken salad which had EVERYTHING in it and my wife had the turkey sandwich which was piled high with meat and vegies. The wine selection was good and fairly priced. I would recommend the goat tree for lunch or a casual dinner. (yes, they have heaters if it gets cold and you're seating outside)More infoGoat Tree RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Santa Barbara•4
