Designated historical, 740 is one of Colorado's two oldest remaining saloons; transformed back to its 1904 roots; a traditional American dining saloon with a turn of the century ambiance featuring a magnificent room dominating bar, built in 1880 by the Brunswick Company,. The copper spit trough, once equipped with running water, still exists at the front of the bar. Louisville, notorious for its drinking, gambling, and illegal activities, evidence of the occasional misunderstanding is the .22 caliber bullet hole in the front bar. Matthew gave great recommendations and checked on us regularly. The table for two by the wall was not ideal. Imagine cutting a window in the wall so guests can see the sushi bar. Food and drinks were delicious!

I was there for lunch with a dear friend to celebrate her birthday. We chose a few appetizers to share as we like to eat small plates. the brussel sprouts were nicely charred and seasoned, the calamari crisp not chewy, the meatballs large and meaty not spongy. Our waiter CJ was attentive, fun and efficient. I would go again for sure!

740 Front has been a favorite for years but we moved 40 miles north and only dine when in the area. Quality and service remain fantastic and the menu still features many long-time specialties. Worth the drive, worth your time, and worth the price. You will be surprised and delighted

One of my favorite dining options. I don’t spend much time in Boulder but when I do I make it a point to try and make it over. Great cocktails, absolutely amazing food, love the ambience, and the staff has always been great. Can’t recommend enough.
