"One of the Best New Restaurants in Houston."Culture MapROMA, an Italian eatery in Rice Village, is Houston's premier Italian restaurant, known for its homemade traditional pastas, its creative contemporary Italian cuisine, and its fine wine program.ROMA was called one of "Houston's Best New Restaurants" by CultureMap when it first opened in 2019. And Houstonia magazine has called it one of their editors' favorite Italian restaurants in the city.In 2020, ROMA launched what would become one of the city's most successful virtual wine dinner programs, often "hosting" more than 80 guests weekly in their homes as Italian winemakers joined from Italy. That has inspired Shanon Scott to take his wine program to the next level. "Our goal is to make ROMA one of Houston's top wine destinations by the end of 2021," says Shanon.Look out for new and regularly occurring wine tastings, wine dinners, and other wine and food events at ROMA!

Restauranteur Shawn Virene put the POP into Houston with his wildly successful a’Bouzy. This champagne-fueled spot located in the tony River Oaks neighborhood of town attracts a stylish crowd all day. The bar is always bustling and the patio echoes with the cry – “a Bouzy!” every time a bottle is sabered tableside. In fact, most tables will have multiple wine buckets close by, keeping the bubbly cool. The fresh, ripe American menu features seasonal seafood, salads, small-shareable plates, large raw bar and prime meats. The wine list curated by Virene, is both the best-priced on bubbly and wines in the city. The interiors have a sophisticated rustic vibe with exposed brick, reclaimed woods and a color palate of creams and blues. The effervescent appeal of bubbles is reflected in a light installation that mimics bubbles floating overhead. The spacious patio is a magnet for the stylish clientele that enjoy the year-round garden. The best thing is Champagne and wine is at or below retail

This was our first trip to B&B, so we tried as much as we could. The 4 appetizers were some of the best that Houston has to offer! The crab cake was nearly 100% meat with almost no filler & was really mild. The cheese covered pork belly was better than any I've tried. Excellent tuna tartar & their calamari was atleast in the top 3 that we've had. For our main entrees, my wife had the wasabi crusted ahi tuna & it was really fresh. I had the prime rib. The prime was seasoned really well but not as tender as I was expecting. Over all, the food & service were excellent & we are looking forward to trying some different main entrees next time around.

We enjoyed an outstanding meal at Cafe Rabelais last night for my husband's birthday. We started with a small order of the mussels which were plump and perfectly cooked. We then had the onion soup which was also excellent. For entrees, my husband had the Steak au Poivre and I had the Trout Almondine. Both were delicious! Finally, for dessert, we shared the Belle Helene and the Profiteroles. Delightful! The entire dining experience was perfect.
